France, officially French Republic, is among the topmost tourist destinations of the world. Analysts often put it to ahead of Spain and America in terms of number of tourists per year. France is famous for its historical architecture. Eiffel Tower is famous all over the world but it is surely not the only things that France has on offer to be visited.
There are 37 sites of France that are identified as heritage sites by UNESCO. There are a number of cities of prime importance from cultural perspective. Paris is the most noted one, besides Toulouse, Lyon, Bordeaux, and Strasbourg etc.
Starting with the green and serene places there are a number of beaches and small villages in France. A tourist may like either the place which is nearby big ocean bodies or those which are green or those which are placed at higher altitudes. Some tourists though are interested in the historical architecture and so on. The beauty with France is that it offers a blend of each. It doesn’t matter what you are interested in, you definitely will find the area of your interest here.
Despite being amongst the developed countries of the world, there are a number of villages, where the environment is still intact and is least affected by the pollution. This is what makes these special. These villages present the picturesque and serene environment and are quite loved by the visitors. Besides these there are a number of important and renowned parks in France like Disneyland Park, which receives a huge rush of the people throughout the year.
The cities offer a great architecture besides being the hubs of a number of museums. There are some top class museums here; especially in Paris like Louvre, which is world’s most visited art museum. From the historical and cultural perspective, there are some other fabulous sites as
Mont Saint-Michel, for instance, is one of the most visited places in France. This place is a blend of great architecture and serenity. It is beautifully placed on the banks of the river, giving it a stunning look. Other major destinations include Châteaux (Loire Valley), Palace of Versailles, Arc de Triomphe, Carcassonne, Sainte-Chapelle and son.
